“Hello do I need a sink near by for this washer. So the water can drain out while washing.”

You need a drain pipe, or a sink would work.

Hi Mark- The water should be drained into a standpipe or set tub. The pump will pump water at a rate of 15 gpm (gallons per minute). Discharge height must not be less than 30 inches and no more than 8 feet above the base of the washer. Standpipe must be 1-1/2 inches minimum inside diameter and must be open to atmosphere.
