Hi Techman52 - Thanks for choosing GE! These models are actually the same. When the model is manufactured, the extra number is placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. This number is used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, this is used as an identifier for the specific appliance. Also, WiFi Connect requires Optional Connect Module PBX10W00Y0 (sold separately) at GEApplianceparts.com - View WASHER AND DRYER - SET-UP OPTIONAL WIFI CONNECT WITH CONNECTPLUS MODULE: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=23887 - Keep in touch!
