- Answer The default is spray rinse. Deep Rinse will fill it to the level you used in the wash cycle.

QuestionHave washed several loads with new washer. Softener is not going in. Cup is still full when the cycle completes. Don't see anything in the trouble shooting section of the manual that applies. Any ideas?

- Answer Make sure the deep rinse is on. When you use softener, you have to have the deep rinse on.

QuestionDoes the top glass lid close slowly or just slams down hard?

- Answer I did the same (went to the store to try it out) and it does slam after it reaches about half way down. IDK why someone said that it doesn't slam down because it does.

QuestionIs there a rinse only cycle? And during rinse cycle, does the washer fill or is it just a spray rinse?

- Answer Yes. If you click deep rinse, and use the drain and spin cycle. It will fill. If you just drain and spin without deep rinse, it will spray a couple short sprays and then drain and spin.

QuestionThere’s a power button and a start button. Do you hit power each time you start and each time your wash is finished? For the sound do you have to set that initially?

- Answer I hope you've received an answer by now, but... the Power button lights up as soon as I open the lid. So you don't need to press it again before you press the Start button. My Power button does not go dark when I close the lid after removing the clothing, so I press it again to make sure it's off. (I don't want any appliance drawing energy, running up my electricity bill, when it's not in use!)

The delicate cycle, utilizes a unique “tri-pulse” extra gentle agitate profile and a low spin speed to provide special care to delicate fabrics. QuestionWhere is the lint trap? How do I clean it out?

- Answer This washer does not have a lint trap. The drain system allows water to flow through the basket and out the bottom of the tub pulling lint, hair and small particles with the water. There is no maintenance required on this system, so there is not a way to access the pump for cleaning or maintenance. -Don@GEAppliances

QuestionTo confirm, this GE 4.5 cu ft washer only does spray rinse if Option is selected to None. And it will do spray rinse (count as 1st rinse) & fill rinse (count as 2nd rinse) if Option is selected to Extra Rinse, correct? Is there a way to do 2 fill rinses?

- Answer It is a "spray rinse" if neither the Extra Rinse or Deep Rinse options are selected. If you want what is equal to two full rinses, you must select the Extra Rinse and Deep Rinse options. Both options can be used in the same cycle. -Don@GEAppliances

QuestionCan this washer combine the quick wash cycle with a deep water level? Does the quick wash skip a final rinse?

- Answer You are able to use the "Deep Fill" option for the Quick Wash setting. You can also choose the rinse settings you'd like. We encourage you to view the Cycle table with options on page 11 of the Use and Care manual on the product page. -Kacie@GEAppliances

- Answer No, but I live in an apartment and don’t pay for water. When I had my home this happened to me and it turned out to be a leak by the main water line going to the street, you might check that.
