“We purchased this washer and the delivery guy said to use one tide pod for every load no matter the size. Our darks get white stains all over them. What type of detergent are we supposed to be using?”

Hi Lairry- Thanks for choosing GE. We are happy to help. We recommend HE (High Efficiency) detergent be used in all of our washers (past and present models) for optimum wash performance. HE detergent works best with the lower water levels used in all modern washing machines and cleans just as well as standard detergents regardless of the machine type or age. Place detergent pods in the bottom of the wash basket before adding clothes. Add liquid detergent in the dispenser. Be sure to choose Deep Rinse. When selected, the deep rinse cycle ensures clothes are rinsed of soap residue and fabric softener.
