We also comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws, like California Proposition 65. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning. Q: QuestionWhat is the best way to clean the griddle? I don't really use it but it has become not too great looking and I have tried many ways to clean it. I clean it and treat it as I do my cast iron pans but it doesn't look good and feels sticky.

• A:Answer Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this concern. We regret any trouble you’ve had with cleaning the griddle – we know that must have caused inconvenience, and we’d like to assist. We recommend cleaning the cast-iron griddle with a stiff brush and hot water, then rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly. We don’t recommend using soap, and you should avoid using any harsh detergent as that will remove the seasoning. After you’ve rinsed the griddle, you should preseason it by applying a light coating of cooking oil to the surface; wipe off any excess oil with a paper towel. We also recommend storing the griddle in a cool, dry place. Additional details regarding the cleaning and maintenance of the griddle are listed on page 25 of the manual, in the Care and Cleaning section. You can view that manual on our GE website by looking up the model number, if you wish. We hope this information is helpful, and you’re able to clean the griddle to your satisfaction. • A:Answer Great question! Your broiler is inside the oven, turn on broiler setting and press start. The bottom drawer is for storage for your cooking pans. Remember don’t over stuff because it could or will jam and become hard to open.
