The oven is lit by electric ignition, eliminating the need for standing pilots and cannot be lit without power. Q: QuestionLove this range so far :) The owner's manual is missing which burner goes with with number/BTU. Please identify location with BTUs. In particular: Which is the "precise simmer"? Back left or right? Which is the powerboil? Front left or right?

The left front burner has 15,000 BTU and it has Power Boil, the left rear burner has 5,000 BTU and it's the Precise Simmer, the right front burner has 9,500 BTU, the right rear burner has 12,000 BTU, and the oval center burner has 10,000 BTU. Q: QuestionMy parents bought this range and I am considering buying it as well. Their right knobs click when changing the dial but the left two don’t. Is this normal or is something wrong? Seems kind of inconsistent to me.

It could accidentally be turned on and damage the drawer if the pot or pan handle melted. We can only recommend storing a clean broil pan in the drawer. Q: QuestionWhat experience do users have of the oven billowing out a lot of heat — so much that it makes cooking on the stove uncomfortable, and the knobs hot? I’m wondering if my range is defective. Thank you.

• A:Answer Hi there - Thanks so much for reaching out and sharing your feedback! Ranges have an oven vent to help vent hot air and steam while cooking in the oven. On gas ranges, the oven vents out of the center of the backsplash area, underneath the control panel. This will cause that area of your cooktop to feel very warm, however, it shouldn't cause the knobs to be so hot you're not able to touch them. Q: QuestionWe noticed that if you open the broiler door below the oven you can see the wall behind the oven was wondering if this is normal or if there should be a back cover over the gas line area and Inspection port "Oval hole" The wall is yellow in the photos.

Q: QuestionThe numbers on the burners equate to what? I know 1 would be low for warm.

When cleaning the griddle, we recommend following these steps: When using the aluminum non-stick coated griddle for the first time: Wash with mild detergent and water. Dry thoroughly. After cooking, let the griddle cool and pour off excess grease. Wash the griddle in warm soapy water. Allow it to soak a few minutes, if necessary, to soften stubborn soils. If needed, a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad can be used to remove cooked on soils. Hope this helps! Keep in touch! - JB

Q: QuestionDoes the Steam cleaner in oven clean more than the bottom bc pictures i have seen show only the bottom?

• A:Answer Hi there. You do need a 120-volt, 60 Hertz, properly grounded dedicated circuit protected by a 15-amp or 20-amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse for the outlet. • A:Answer Hi - Thanks for your interest in GE Model #JGBS66DEKWW! This model is not self-cleaning. It has Steam Clean option. This method avoids the time required for conventional self-clean ovens. Steam Clean allows for quick cleaning of minor food spills at temperatures lower than the standard self-clean feature. Simply pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of a cool oven.
