Q: QuestionWill my GE Electric Range- Oven Door interchangable with any other oven door? Do I need to replace the whole door or just outer door/ glass?

Q: Questionwhat is the correct sequence for starting to cook with this oven ? do you 1. tap the bake, then 2. set the oven temp ? then will the preheat come on, then wait until the oven gets to that temperture, and then set the timer, ?

• A:Answer I was wondering if I can use the timer or is it at all necessary. when cooking, because the oven will beep the cooking is complete, or do I have to ? Right now I am tapping , Bake, then I set the oven temp, then I press start, preheat will display, then once oven reaches the desired temperature, I set timer, and put my food inside,,now am I supposed to use the oven cook time instead of the timer ? I am confused..

Q: QuestionThe regulations about sense-temp coils apply to the people who manufacture & sell appliances. As a consumer, I can do what I want with a range I own. Are the coils (sensitive-temp & regular) interchangeable, if I choose to change sensi-temp to regular?

• A:Answer Hi ampenny3 - Starting in 2018, UL regulation requires all coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. As a result, our electric coil burners now use Sensi-Temp Technology. Sensi-temp burners on ranges manufactured on or after the regulatory change cannot be replaced without Sensi-Temp Technology elements. • A:Answer Yes. I have had mine for 6 months and cannot use anything but cast iron. I finally bought a cheap hot plate at the Dollar Store to boil water. Have been through 3 different sauce pans/stockpots, none of which will boil water on a sensi-temp burner. It should be criminal to sell these things.
