• A:Answer This range model comes equipped with continuous grates (2 total pieces, 1 on each side) and an integrated griddle (1 piece in the center). The continuous grate creates a continuous geometric patterned surface, allowing pans to slide to other burners without lifting the pan. Q: QuestionIt says the griddle and grates are cast iron, despite one of the answers here stating it is aluminum. They are heavy like cast-iron. So do they need to be seasoned? I rubbed oil on them, as you normally do with cast-iron, but it is rubbing off black.

• A:Answer The griddle and grates of this range are cast iron. To clean your griddle, rinse with hot water, scrub with a sponge, and towel dry. After each use, apply a very thin layer of oil to the surface to maintain the seasoning.

• A:Answer The heating (baking) elements in the oven are located at the bottom of the oven. This range has conventional baking and while this oven does not have a convection bake option, it does have a Crisp mode with will help with getting food getting crispy.

• A:Answer Steam clean is intended to clean small spills using water and a lower cleaning temperature than Self-Clean. The steam clean cycle is designed to sufficiently heat the water added to the oven bottom at the beginning of the steam clean cycle, so that it increases in temperature and can then condense onto food soils, softening them and making them easier to remove.
