A:AnswerI put a plastic mat underneath it, I had the same worry as you. However, after running it for 2 days while my new AC was being installed, I was happily surprised to see that only a tiny bit of water had collected. After we were done using it, we took it outside to empty it and just a tiny bit dribbled out. Most of it evaporates.
A:AnswerDid you register your GE Portable AC Unit on GE’s website? When I bought mine and registered it with them, I remember seeing that a remote was one of the parts we could buy from them.
A:AnswerYes, switch the mode from COOL to DRY. I live in Florida so my 5-gallon bucket that catches all the drainage fills up much faster and drains much more so please be prepared for that. I love the DRY mode - I get less humidity and nice cold air!
A:AnswerIt has a button labeled “swing.” When you select it, the louver oscillates to direct the airflow in an up and down fashion. There is no side to side movement for the airflow.
A:AnswerYour FAN is probably in C2 mode which means it is going to NOT RUN CONSTANTLY, it will just try to maintain the ambient temperature in the room. To change it back to C1 which is the fan running constantly put your finger on the FAN button on your AC Unit, while it is on, and hold it for several seconds until you see the display indicate C1. ** it is sometimes tricky for me to get the exact right spot to put my finger, so sometimes I just have to lift my finger, wait a sec, and try to find that sweet spot on the FAN BUTTON to hold for those few moments for the unit to make that switch. I hope this helps
A:AnswerI was wondering the same after I purchased and got the air conditioner home. After using it for a few weeks I think the BTU range depends on the area to be cooled. Being between 350sq foot-14,000BTU /550sq. Ft= 10,000 BTU. It cools my Bungalow/ attic bedroom and I'm inclined to believe the output for my area between 10-12,000 BTU's. My room was comfortable with the medium output. If turned on high I'm sure it would become colder. Im sorry i donk know the square footage of my room but I knew i neede a unit way bigger than the old 5,000 window unit i had
A:AnswerMaybe you tilted box when carrying it you have to keep it up and be careful liquid don’t spill according to this ac technician. Did you move anything in bottom like unscrewed anything because if not maybe it’s defective mine so far hasn’t done that . My sister has had one for 2-3 yrs and has never done that so before 14 days of having it you can still exchange it
