A:AnswerRead my review. The Best Buy website hasn’t updated their microwave. GE no longer makes a 2.1 microwave. The new one is 1.7 c.u. 2.1 is literally obsolete even though the website says there’s a GE MICROWAVE 2.1. It’s actually only 1.7 so it won’t fit.

The microwave is designed to accept a 30 watt bulb. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). If your microwave was purchased less than a year ago you're covered under the warranty for a free service trip. If you are referring to the cooking complete reminder that displays "Food is ready" on the screen, this will beep once a minute until you either open the oven door or press the Cancel/Off button and cannot be turned off. - If you are referring to the Cook Time or Timer beeper in general, you cannot turn the beeper off, but you can adjust the volume as directed on page 24 of the Use and Care Manual.
