A:Answermicrowave is fine but trim kit is on backorder. they it wont be available until July. However it was May then changed to June and now has changed to July. I have the microwave but NO trim kit. Must be coming from China. We replaced al our appliances with GE and still have our white one for now. If you don't want to wait you might look for another brand. I will say we have all GE and they all work very well and have never had a problem with any of them.
A:AnswerHi there! The name of the color for model JE2160CF001 is Bisque. As for the trim kit, JX7227DLWW is the kit needed for PEB7227DLWW, which is different from the one for JE2160CF001. Please let us know if you have any additional questions and we’ll be happy to answer -Gina@GEA

A:AnswerThanks for your question and interest in our microwaves! We took a look at this and there are currently not ant microwaves that are compatible with your trim kit. If you're looking for a replacement, model PEB9159SJSS would be a good fit and can be purchased with either a 27" or 30" trim kit. We did want to let you know, though, that its dimensions are a bit different than your current model. Your current microwave has the following dimensions: 15-1/4" x 23-13/16" x 18-1/2" (HxWxD). The model we recommended is 13" x 21-3/4" x 20" (HxWxD). We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerI was told that microwave ovens are not really built in units. My oven is a GE model manufactured as a countertop model. They do sell a trim kit for it. It is designed to overlap my cabinet much like a picture frame made of stainless steel. So it does look like a built in unit without really being one. To get the. Best fit I hired a cabinet maker. The finished unit looks great.
A:AnswerDimensions may not help to determine the fit. I got my microwave a few weeks ago. dimensions were perfect, but still it did not fit my old trim kit. It was the bottom that was different. If you are lucky it might fit, You can try and if it doesn’t work you can order new trim kit later. Delivery times for trim kits are longer than for microwave. I am still waiting for mine. Good luck.
A:AnswerI used my old trim kit from my old 11 year old microwave that died. I had to do a lot of modifying but am satisfied with results. I had to do a lot of cutting of the metal support from my old microwave but the unit ones does fit in old space.
A:AnswerI do not work for Best Buy but I replaced the microwave like the one you have. I learned that the manufacturer is in China and they no longer manufacturer the microwave with a convection feature. The external dimensions of the oven is the same. However the rotating plate is very much larger. So the internal dimensions of the oven is much larger. They still manufacturer the trim kit so it looks like a built in unit even though it is not built in. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYes, you will have to purchase a new trim kit. We purchased this GE microwave to replace the exact same GE microwave Model that was installed in 2015. The old trim kit did not fit this current GE model. If you go to the GE website, it will tell you what matches it. It should also tell you on the Best Buy site as well (underneath the microwave).
