A:AnswerHi there - thanks for reaching out about replacing your prior microwave model. We appreciate you staying a part of the GE Family and would love to help you find a replacement. Your prior model was a countertop unit and the model PEB7227DLBB is an excellent replacement based on size and features. However, make sure to note that PEB7227DLBB is a built-in microwave that requires the trim kit JX7227DLBB (for 27” cabinets): https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-27-built-in-microwave-trim-kit-black/6083584.p?skuId=6083584 -- or model JX7230DLBB for 30” cabinets. -- If you would like to stay with a countertop model, we would recommend PES7227SLSS: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-profile-2-2-cu-ft-microwave-stainless-steel/6111521.p?skuId=6111521 -- For more recommendations on your specific situation, please reach out to us on social media, as we’re happy to help! Warm regards. Lauren@GEA
A:AnswerHello. While we regret that your microwave stopped working, we truly appreciate your loyalty as a GE Appliances consumer and that you want to replace it with one of our current models. Please note that for a microwave/oven combination unit, the entire unit would need to be replaced rather than the microwave by itself. After reviewing our system, we see the expected cabinet cutout dimensions for your current model (which we see as JKP65W0P2WG) listed as 23 ½” minimum depth, 41 1/8” minimum to 41 ¼” maximum height and 25” minimum to 25 ¼” maximum width. The expected cabinet width is 27”. (We do advise double checking the measurements of your cutout, to be sure they will fit the requirements of a new model.) Our current wall oven microwave combination units that are 27” in width are JK3800SHSS and PK7800SKSS, and the necessary cutout dimensions for those appear to be a good match for the current cutout. The only potential issues we notice is that the new unit would require 23” clearance from adjacent corners, drawers, walls, etc. when the door is open, while the older model needed 20” minimum. Also, the junction box needs to be in a different location than the older model required. If it would help, you can view the ‘Quick Specs’ for either model when you go to our GE Appliances website, look up the model number and go to the product page; a link to the specs document is available on that page. You can also view the specs for JK3800SHSS on Best Buy's website when you look up the model number and click the product page; they are under the 'Overview' section. We hope this is helpful, and we’re always glad to assist if you have any other concerns or questions. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for contacting us! We always want to make using our product as simple and easy for our consumers as possible, and we do have a manual available. If you to go our GE Appliances website, look up the model number and go to the product page, there’s an ‘Owner Support’ option under the picture of the microwave. If you click on that, there’s a link to the manual under that section. The manual has instructions, care and cleaning information, troubleshooting tips, etc. We hope this helps. If you have any other questions or concerns, we’re happy to assist any time – best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHi Jim, I apologize as I gifted this purchase to a friend who installed it in their home so I am not aware of any issues with it. They have had it just under a month and since then, no issues however.
A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for reaching out with this great question. Trim kit JX7227SLSS has dimensions of 18 7/8” H x 26 ¾” W. Unfortunately, that trim kit would not fit your space; we regret any inconvenience that causes. Our trim kits are usually designed to fit a 27” W or 30” W space. If you have any other questions or need any further assistance with this, you’re always more than welcome to reach out, here or over social media – we’re happy to help any time. All the best. -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHi,
We'll be happy to answer your question! This trim kit is not designed to be compatible with model PEB7227DLBB. Instead, you would need kit JX7230DLBB. We hope this information is helpful. Reach out if you need anything. Stay safe! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerMy actual microwave, same model, it’s just a little tiny bit less than 24 inches wide and it’s about 12 1/2 inches tall but if your cabinets only 24 inches you might have to shave the wood if it’s a wood cabinet I didn’t get the trim kit because it was $200 and my cabinet is finished on the inside so it looks fine. My cabinet is also 17 &1/2 inches high

A:AnswerThank you for reaching out to us! This microwave is a great choice to replace your current unit; however, please keep in mind that the dimensions of this microwave are slightly different from your unit. Please ensure that your current cutout will accommodate for these new dimensions, or you can make adjustments as needed. We hope this information helps, and if you ever need assistance, please know that you can always contact us on social media. Kind regards – Matthew@GEA
A:AnswerHello – We would suggest an over the range model such as JNM7196DKBB because it has recirculating vents, which means it’s not externally vented so you wouldn’t need any duct work to complete the install. We hope this information is helpful with making your decision. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with. Kind regards. – Don@GEA
A:AnswerThank you for asking this great question! There are two trim kits that you can choose between depending on your preferred size. A:AnswerHello, thank you for asking this great question! Our countertop microwaves are not rated in dba/decibels, as the way it is installed can make a difference in the sound level. Additionally, the types of materials found in the surrounding cabinetry can also affect the sound level. All the best – Matthew@GEA
A:AnswerGreetings,
Thank you so much for reaching out and for your interest in our microwaves! Model PEB7227DLBB would be a fine replacement for your microwave. The existing trim kit would not work. You would need to use either JX7227DLBB (27") or JX7230DLBB (30") for the trim kit. We're here if you have any other questions. Have a great one! Mike@GEA
