A:AnswerHello - The SmartHQ app does not have the ability to switch modes on the UltraFast Combo. You can turn the unit on and off in the SmartHQ app, and it does show when the cycle has entered the Rinse cycle, but there is not a notification on the unit or app. We hope that you choose to become part of the Profile family. Take care. -Don@GEA
A:AnswerHello- We appreciate your interest in the new Ultrafast Combo unit! The Combo is an air-cooled system and does not use water like older condenser designs. Water discharge is comparable to a standard frontload washer for this capacity. The drain needs to be capable of eliminating 10 gallons (38 L) per minute. We hope this helps! If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out and let us know. All the best! Dianna@GEA
A:AnswerBased on 15 amps used at 120 volts, that equals 1800 watts- the actual number is likely lower- but that's the best number I come up with to use for electrical power consumption. Compared to my current 7200 watt dryer I'm replacing with this unit, I expect to save a proportional amount of electric, as well as be able to run this unit with my generator if needed.
A:AnswerYou would have to ask GE actual size and thread pitch. We neglected to measure. When installed We did notice that the base is hollow. Therefore a heavy duty stem caster would be needed and would most likely void any warranty. Keep in mind that this unit is around 300 + lbs. Furniture sliders might work but unit must be level and solid to work right.
A:AnswerHi there - The door hinge for the Ultrafast Combo is located on the left side when facing the unit. We hope that you choose to become part of the Profile family! Take care. -Don@GEA
A:AnswerYou need a water hookup and electricity. As long as you have that and the closet is big enough you can put it in there. The unit doesn’t need to be vented.
A:AnswerHi there, and thanks for your interest in our UltraFast combo – we definitely think it’s amazing, and we’re confident it would be a great fit for your laundry needs! Our Combo uses sensors, low temperatures and high air-flow to achieve optimal care of your laundry during the dry cycle. While the amount of time can vary depending on the specific cycle/options you choose, the model can both wash and dry a full load of load of laundry in about two hours. There is also a Dry Only option, if that’s ever needed! If it might be useful for you, more information about the cycles and options is available in the manual; that can be viewed when you go to our GE Appliances website, look up the model number and go to the product page. We hope this helps! If you ever have any other questions or concerns, we’re always happy to offer assistance – all the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerBecause it has a heat pump that eztracts water constanly and when drying it uses forced air to dry while extracting or suckinf moisture out. It doesn't deoend on just tumbling and heating. It removes water and forces heated air into the drum.
A:AnswerGood day,
Thanks so much for reaching out. This is a great question to ask. Under Department of Energy regulations, some appliances are required to have energy labels such as washers, while some appliances, such as dryers, do not. Since this unit is both a washer and a dryer, an energy label is provided, however it is only for the washer. We do not have an energy label regarding the dryer part of this unit. If you have any other questions, please be sure to let us know. Have a great day! Mike@GEA
