“How accurate is the heart rate monitor and step tracker? I am really looking for a device that tells the time, tracks my steps, and heart rate. Would you consider this product pretty accurate when it comes to those features? Thank you.”

I bought this as a gift for my dad for Father's Day. So far he said the heart rate monitor works great and for the most part is pretty accurate. He has tried it while resting and working out as well as testing it out on other people and he says it works very well. However, he doesn't think the step counter is accurate at all. He walks/runs on the treadmill everyday which also keeps track of the distance and they are never close to coming out the same or even near to each other. He has even tried using an app on his phone that is similar and they never coincide either.

It will not continuously track your HR, it is simply a "stop and remain calm" while you activate and wait for the reading, much like a DIY blood pressure cuff. It is not the same as the typical fitness monitors with a chest strap that provide a continuous readout. There are much better products for those looking for something geared more toward fitness. I can not comment on the Galaxy Gear Fit.

Please try again later.i personally would recommend the Gear fit for the features that you are seeking. this watch dose not meet my needs because i have such a large wrist..I still have the gear fit. But when i get the opportunity will buy the larger gear 2. also make sure you are using a Samsung phone S4 or S5. benefit from me. I had a S3 that did not work with gear 2neo .

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i bought the black Gear 2 Neo and I love it. It does all of those things plus more. Like your sleep and how many miles you can run or walk. You can also connect it to your phone via bluetooth and answer calls and text messsages through the watch. It is an awesome watch
