A:Answer Not a perfect recreation of your scenario, but I expect the answer to be "yes" here, based on my experience with Apple's new architecture:
I'm using this monitor with a Mac Studio - its an M1, not an M2 - but it's working flawlessly for me. (I'm connected via USB-C.)
I also have an M2 Mac Mini connected to another widescreen monitor that has the same natively resolution, and it's working flawlessly there. (That one is also connected via USB-C.)
Note: You might have some frame rate issues if you're trying to connect via HDMI instead of USB-C. DisplayPort probably gets around those issues, but I prefer the USB-C route so I never tried that and can't actually confirm it.
