Nest cameras can connect to your Wi-Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidths, but 5GHz bandwidth has a smaller coverage compared to 2.4GHz. Q: QuestionI purchased the Nestcam Outdoor (Battery) and this weatherproof cable. They are installed but the Nestcam status shows it is running off of battery state and the battery is slowly discharging. Shouldn't this cable keep the battery from discharging?

• A:Answer I had the same thing happen when I hooked my camera up to the cable but I found out that the outlet in which my cable was plugged into was connected to the light switch for my attic light, also check the way that it connects to the camera, it actually goes in backwards

Q: QuestionCan the cord that comes out the box with the New nest camera battery be used outdoors or does a special one is needed for outdoor use? Also does it have two cords included with the two pack bundle?

• A:Answer i think the shorter cable in the box with cameras are for charging the camera battery. No other cables were in my box... A 10m cord, that I had to buy separately, is for outside use to connect camera to house bypassing battery only use. Hope this helps
