Q: QuestionDoes this require a C Wire ???
Asked by TheAndreotti.
- A:Answer No, It charges while the appliance (furnace, air conditioner) is running. If you have a slow summer, you can pull it off the wall and charge it manually. The C Wire just supplies energy when not used for a long time.

Q: QuestionDo you have to have a Google nest hub to work with this?
Asked by Tommy.
- A:Answer No. Nest Thermostat E can work on its own. But, having a Google Nest Hub or any other compatible smart speaker and display enables you to control your Nest thermostat using voice command.

Q: QuestionWill this work as a heat only thermostat with oil heat?
Asked by James.
- A:Answer Yes, this will work as a heat only thermostat and it is more helpful if you have a common line. I have 3 Nest thermostats: one controls the HVAC unit by itself for the whole house. And the remaining two Nest thermostats -- one for each zone of heat.

Q: QuestionCan the device allow fan only mode while not running the heat (for ventilation purposes without adding additional heat)?
Asked by Ron.
- A:Answer It did for my simple 4-wire system. Sometimes if you do not have the c-wire (to power the Nest), the Nest will still work with a work-around wiring, but you may give up the fan-only mode. It's best to use their online compatibility tool or just call them; they picked up quickly, at least for me.

Q: QuestionI see that my electric company has a rebate on the nest e thermostat when it is purchased alone. Why is there no rebate available when the thermostat is purchased with the remote sensor as a package? Strange!
Asked by jon24.
- A:Answer Mine did not come with a rebate either; I had to go my utility website to apply.

Asked by BW33.
- A:Answer The Nest Thermostat E will work with most 24V systems, even older systems. We recommend that you check your system’s compatibility with our online Compatibility Checker here: https://store.google.com/us/widget/compatibility/thermostat

Q: QuestionHow is this Nest E Thermostat (Model #BH1254-US) different than the other Nest E Thermostat (Model #T4000ES)? Other than the fact that this has a sensor included and the other does not? Why is this model not eligible for the instant rebate?
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer Rebates our on certain products for different zip codes.. I didn't get to use my rebate. When I tried to get my rebate the website wasn't working but I was ready to purchase this for my offices so I moved on. a day later I received 2 coupon codes which they were worthless because after purchase the won't honor a rebate unless you return the item back to the store.
