Q: QuestionUpdates for 3 years after it was released: How long from now and what if you keep the phone longer than that?

• A:Answer The 3a line was originally released with Android 9 in May 2019. I bought mine in Feb. 2020 with Android 10 pre-installed. I believe you will receive OS updates through the last feature pack for Android 12. Security updates continue as necessary. Because of the delayed release, the Pixel 4a will most likely will arrive with Android 11 ready for 5G.

• A:Answer If Boost mobile support unlocked phones, you should. I am using it for Mint Mobile and had no problem.

• A:Answer If you purchase the unlocked version (even on activate now) then Yes it will work on any GSM carrier world wide. Also it works perfect with Google Fi, which works in Russia and many other countries around the world.
