The GoPro App's range is between 35-50 feet depending on the wireless interference in your area. If you're using the Smart Remote, the range with that device is up to 600 feet. The app and the Smart Remote connect directly to the GoPro. No additional wifi is required for that connection. That way, you can use the app or the Smart Remote wherever you are.
