QuestionI have a leaf blower & a trimmer with 80V 2Ah batteries. I bought a mower with 80V 4Ah batteries. I know I can interchange the batteries in the tools; I'm wondering if the chargers are interchangeable, or should batteries use the charger they came with?

- Answer Hello gkanders - If the batteries are the same voltage, they will use the same charger. Each product line has designated charger models that can charge all batteries in that voltage platform, despite Ah rating.

QuestionWith the greenworks battery once its charged do you leave it on the charger or take it off?

- Answer Hello Dee - Thank you for your question. We are glad that you asked! When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life.

- Answer Hello BoomBoom - If they are the same voltage you can cross between tools and chargers. The only issues you may experience using a heavier battery is the added weight to the unit which may not be as comfortable to handle as a smaller battery.

- Answer Hello Zee - Thank you for your question! Only Greenworks batteries, chargers and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another. You cannot mix and match voltages. However, you could use an 80V ~ 2ah battery with this 80V chain saw. Please know that batteries in the same voltage platform will ultimately perform the same but the run-time/cuts will vary. The higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is, the more run-time/cuts the battery has to offer.

- Answer Yes they are interchangeable. With the exception of the 80V Chainsaw, the optimal weight distribution requires use of either our 2.0Ah or 2.5Ah batteries. This process also reduces the chance of kickback when saw in in use.

- Answer Thank you for your question! Our 24V charger cannot be used to charge a 40V battery and vice versa. Greenworks manufactures a range of voltage platforms from 24V - 80V, each voltage platform has its own set of interchangeable tools and battery but are not interchangeable across different voltage platforms. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another. 2Ah, 4Ah or 6Ah represents the ampere-hour (Ah) rating. This rating relates to how much run time the battery can offer. The higher the Ah rating is, the greater the run time.

QuestionI have a two chamber Greenworks 80volt mower. One battery is 2Ah and the other 4ah. Does it matter what chamber, left or right, the battery goes in? Does the mower start with whatever battery is in the left chamber first? Then switch?

- Answer I have the same mower (21" self propelled 80v pro) with the same batteries included. No, it does not matter which battery is inserted into the chambers. Yes, it always starts out using the left battery first then switches after left battery is depleted. This is why, after charging I switch the battery arrangement from the previous cut therefore keeping battery usage equal.

- Answer Hello Mp - Essentially the difference between the 4ah and 2ah batteries is weight, run time and charge time. 4ah charges in 1hr but will run double the time of a 2ah. Weighing approx. 2.5lbs more than the 2ah. The 80V ~2ah charges in 30 minutes, lighter weight for handheld tools but half the run time of the 4ah.

- Answer Hello there, This question is posted under our GreenWorks 80v battery. Which is not compatible with model 29482. However, model 29482 is our GreenWorks G-Max 40v charger and can be used to charge all GreenWorks G-Max 40v batteries.
