• A:Answer Hello there - thanks for reaching out. This over-the-range microwave can be installed under a cabinet, even if there is not a cooking surface underneath; however, the height clearances must still be met. Be aware that over-the-range models must be installed at least 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. (This can also be measured as at least 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to.) Please also keep in mind that you should not install this microwave in a closed cabinet or cut-out space where the bottom is covered. Remember that over-the-range microwaves cannot be placed and used on a counter or shelf. (The underside is not flat and would not provide a stable surface.) Doing so can cause a heat issue, especially if the vent fan or surface lights were accidentally turned on. Complete installation requirements can be found in the installation instructions. Q: QuestionI have a 24" wide opening with my kitchen cabinets. Since the microwave door will span out in front of the cabinet doors, it is not an issue when opening the microwave door. However, does the microwave require clearance on the sides for heat ventilation?

Q: QuestionCOULD THIS MICROWAVE OVEN BE MOUNTED INSIDE A CABINET OPENING AND NOT OVER A RANGE?

• A:Answer Over-the-range microwaves cannot be used on a counter or shelf nor installed in a closed cabinet or cut-out space where the bottom is covered. The underside is not flat and would not provide a stable surface. Additionally, there can be a heat issue, especially if the vent fan or surface lights were accidentally turned on.

• A:Answer Hi there - we're glad to provide more information about this microwave! The unit includes all the parts needed for installation, including templates for the mounting. This microwave is shipped assembled for a Recirculating Ventilation Installation; however, it is designed to adapt to an outside top/rear exhaust. You, or a certified installer, need to follow the installation instructions to adjust the blower motor to whatever direction the exterior venting is. Q: QuestionI attached the vent for outside ventilation, but the unit is still recirculating back into the house. How do I only have it vent outside ?

• A:Answer You also need to turn the fan around. There are couple of screws (about 3 or 4) keeping the fan in place. You will have to remove those screws, pull up and turn the fan towards outside mode. Then screw down the fan back in place.
