From what I know, and also just quickly did some searching I can't see the depth bit for the U8 however I would imagine it's the same as the U7. I did a quick search as i mentioned for this answer and the only thing I found that references 8 bit is different than what you asked but both the U7 and U8 both list this spec: Color: DCI-P3 color space/8-bit plus frame rate control (FRC)
