- Answer A.) Thank you for this inquiry. In order to determine the “Cost to Operate” this item you will need to know the wattage and your ‘cost per Kilowatt Hour’ for your electricity. You can find out the ‘cost per Kilowatt hour’ by looking on your electric bill, calling your electric company, or going to their website. Once you have this information you should take the wattage of your unit and multiply it by .001. Next, multiply the answer by the ‘cost per KwH’. That answer will give you the cost per hour to run this item. We hope this information is helpful. - Answer I'm sure it would easily take care of 250-350 sq. ft. Not sure what the manufacturer suggested. But, it's a well emanating heater. I'd recommend it to anyone.

- Answer I believe this heater was designated Energy Smart because it incorporates programmable features, like a thermostat and a timer, and the display includes an indicator of current usage (Standby, Lo (750watts) and Hi (1500 watts)). In short, it helps the USER to be smart about energy use.

QuestionI need a space heater like this one but I need to know if it's non toxic. Does this emit any type of fumes from the enamel coating? I have respiratory issues and also I have a bird so it needs to be safe to use in my house.

QuestionIs this cool to the touch when on?

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry. While the control panel and handle are cool to the touch, the radiator fins get hot, as this unit uses convection to transfer the heat from the unit to the air. When the unit is turned off, please allow for 30 minutes for the unit to cool down before moving it. - Answer Ok People stop asking questions like we're ONCOR or something. Look on your bill and see how much you pay per KW. How the heck am I telling you something about my house and you do not live here. It's portable so it is not expensive to run. Come on now have common sense

- Answer Honeywell (KAZ) HZ-789 Radiator Heater This is the first radiator heater I've purchased for personal use and we have one at my job in the shop bathroom (for at least 4 years now and still works great.) The oil is sealed and should never have to be replenished. If it leaked out somehow, the heater will just have to be replaced. You can tell if there is oil still in it by turning it upside down. You will hear it rushing by do to gravity. If there is oil in it, then maybe one of the switches maynot be working. Good luck. Masta B

- Answer No it’s only standard dry heater. You may want to search for warm mist humidifiers if you want warm. There are some that does both warm and cold like Levoit 6Liter humidifier. Also there is Pure Enrichment HumeXL.

- Answer Lauren, This is the 2nd unit I have purchased. The 1st one burned out for some reason - probably because I turned it on and never turned it off. I have a decent size room and leave it on high and at 80 degrees (anemic) so I love the warmth. It's not uncomfortable heat and I leave my bedroom door open and it still does the job. Now as far as the heater removing the humidity out the room and making it dry - that is not the case for my home. I had it winterized back in 2010 so I really couldn't answer that question. I can tell you the air in my room or house for that matter is not dry at all. The only time I turn this thing off if it's in the summer or I leave the house (safety). You will be satisfied with the purchase.
