QuestionWhen I set the T-stat at 76, the AC will shut off at 74, This happens to what ever temp I set it at, that is a 2 degree difference ? what is making it do this ?

- Answer Hi RALPH12! The Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat has the ability to adjust the indoor temperature that is displayed. It sounds like you may have this set up on your thermostat which would explain the 2 degree temperature difference you are seeing on your thermostat. To adjust this, Touch SETTINGS on the thermostat. The thermostat will display a list of options. Select Preferences, then Advanced Preferences. The thermostat will display the first screen of options that you can change. You will want to go to Indoor Display Offsets. When you have made all changes, press Done to save and exit. QuestionAre the out of range notifications sent by the Wi-Fi thermostat a direct push to me or do they go through a third-party and does the third-party have any charges ?

- Answer Hi Dave! The notifications you can receive in regards to the Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi are sent via email and do not go through a 3rd party or cost any money. It is a feature you can utilize once your device is registered to the My Total Connect Comfort website. I hope this helps!

QuestionA question about fan control. Does this have an interval fan option ( say 10 min run every 30 minutes?) other than just on and auto? I need more fan runtime to stir house air on several floors, my current totaline Tstat allows this. Thanks

- Answer Checking my app. There is a fan setting - On, Auto, Circulate. On - fan is always on, Auto - fan is on when heating or cooling is on, Circulate - fan runs randomly about 35% of the time. That's what the app says. I have not tried it so I can't verify it works as described. BTW, I recommend this product . It easily interacts with Alexa which is why I bought it and the iPhone app is easy to use.

QuestionOne review I saw during my search said if the internet connection is lost or the unit freezes and it continuously calls for heat (if it's on heat mode) and that the only way to reboot is remove the unit from the base. Is this true? Does the unit freeze?

QuestionWant to replace RTH230B with RTH9580WiFi. Wires connected:G, Y, W has(black wire), R(red wire), Rh(red wire). Also I see a white wire that is not connected to current rth230. How do I know which wire is used for the "c" terminal for the new rth9580WiFi?

- Answer Since they're not labeled at the thermostat terminal, you'll need to check at your furnace to see what's connected where. Having the extra wire is great, since you should be able to use that for your common.

QuestionI am reading this is dual fuel compatable. Multistage heat pump and two stage backup furnace is whatmy setuo will be and I will want to be able to have a setpoint to switch to gas furnace when it gets to about 5F since the cold climate HP is efficient.
