A:AnswerManual says do not add anything into the water or tank, I would think you could possibly mix salt with water into the essential oil part of the humidifier (on top of the vent) may help. Then again, salt stuck on anything is bad, as it will start corroding whatever salt sticks on.
A:AnswerThis is not what we expect from our humidifier. Please contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com and we will be happy to help you. Thank you.
A:AnswerHow was vinegar used, in the tank with the unit on? Try cleaning the heating element with a soft sponge and vinegar. I believe there’s a reset button on the unit itself too.

A:AnswerI would return the unit. Sounds like the sensor that detects the overheating of the element is defective. Make sure there is water in the bottom of the unit when the red light goes on, i.e., the water is draining properly from the tank to the heating element.

A:AnswerYou might do better with a cool mist humidifier. The gurgling you hear with this humidifier is the boiling sound. Cool mist humidifiers are great too but need to be cleaned at least once a week to fight off mildew.
