Hi Anne! The Air Cordless 3.0 has a hose and tool mode, where the Lynx has no hose and cannot be used for above-floor cleaning. The Air Cordless 3.0 also comes with two batteries that have extended run times of 25 minutes, totaling 50 minutes. Hope this helps! -Michael, Hoover Customer Care
