QuestionDo i have to “rinse” my carpet ? My old Hoover only had one tank that held the cleaning solution and water together. I never “rinsed” afterwards

- Answer No, you do not have to rinse. I had it for 4 years and I've only used the "rinse" option once.

QuestionHoover Pet Expert 2x says mix 3 oz. of cleaner to one gallon of water, unless using a setup like my Hoover Power Scrub—then I need 16 oz. in the solution tank for one gallon of water in the water tank. Why is there such a difference?

QuestionI dropped a plastic piece in the suction cup that the tank attaches to while I was cleaning it and it sucked up into the machine but idk how to get to the piece that was sucked up and the shampooer is making a noise 4

- Answer you may want to have it serviced. Could be anything from a belt that is stuck to a motor issue. You can contact hoover to get a local service provider in your area. could be under warranty

- Answer This machine stops spraying the soap when it gets too full of the dirty water and I think when it gets too hot. This happens to me all the time u have to keep shutting it off dumping the dirty water and re doing the area with forward and backward motions. Do not lift the machine up. I hope this hopes.

QuestionWe have several long shag carpets. Some vacuums do not work on shags. How does this Hoover cleaner do on shag carpet?

- Answer Yes. But with long shag start at low speed and then move to high speed. You may find high speed with the long shag creates to much mass and blocks flow. A slower speed may work better.

If you go to Hoover.com ad search your model number you can find the products page here ( https://www.hoover.com/power-scrub-elite-multi-floor/FH50253PC.html#q=power%2Bscrub%2Belite&lang=en_US&start=1 ). Under specifications you will find a downloadable pdf of the manual. For the second question, fill the tank to the max fill line of the clean water tank and the solution tank to it's fill line. The solution is automatically mixed at a fixed amount, so if you put in less or more than the amount required it will not hurt your cleaning. Thanks, Joseph - The Hoover Team
