A:AnswerHi Cleanchick! You are able of cleaning your area rug on top of your bare floor. We recommend two dry strokes per wet stroke when cleaning to prevent water saturation. For example, prime the trigger as you push the cleaner forward. Release the trigger when pulling the unit back. Push the cleaner forward once more WITHOUT priming the trigger then back once more. This procedure is what we call, 2 dry strokes per wet stroke. Hope this helps!

A:AnswerHi Floorclean, this unit has SpinScrub® Brush Technology. This includes Patented 360° counter-rotating, removable brushes which will gently wash and scrub sealed wood, vinyl, tile and grout from all angles. The SteamVac uses a trigger to dispense the cleaning solution and once that it done you will use the SteamVac to suck the dirty water back up. We hope this helps! Thanks, Cierra

A:AnswerA lot of people think that this unit produces steam... I does not. I know it's misleading, but it DOES have an internal heater. This unit is for cleaning carpets, and after using it for 5 years, it does that very well. If you want something that produces enough steam to kill bugs... I suggest that you get something that produces steam to take wrinkles out of clothes ...It doesn't vacuum anything, but it produces the kind of steam your looking for to kill bugs. I hope this helps.
A:AnswerHi there! The main difference between these models is that F5914901NC comes with a hose to clean upholstery. Also, model FH50026 will come with pet cleaning solution instead of regular solution to clean the carpet. Hope this helps! –Karissa, Hoover Customer Care.
A:AnswerHi Drea! We do not recommend using this as a vacuum. We recommend, as the manual states, to vacuum your carpet before using this product. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerOf course you can use without solution. But you need detergent solution to help draw out dirt etc. and for odor refreshing. The solution isn’t hot enough to qualify as a “steam” cleaning process. If this is what you want/ need, you are looking at cost of professional carpet cleaning service.
A:AnswerHi Marf! These two units are one in the same. The only difference is in color. We hope this answers your question! ~Kenya, Hoover Customer Care
