There is a wifi only version. You can buy this without activating the 4G but you will pay the full $279

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question. Yes you can use it as a WiFi only and the real price is $299.. they take off $100 if you get Verizon data to bring it to $199 (I found this out the hard way) but yes you can buy it for $299 and not set up data from Verizon.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been using it wifi only for the last month- my first experience using wifi. It works fine, although some places their log-in is kind of confusing, and I need to refresh after logging into the wifi. Overall, it's been a very good practical solution to type up and send documents while away from my desktop. I discovered you use most Starbucks wifi's with no login in as long as you're within 500 feet, i.e. across the street or parked in the parking lot :) Recently, Verizon gave a $99 credit toward this model is you signed up for hotspot service. So far, I don't feel the need because I live in a densely wifi rich urban area
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They have a wifi only version. Why by the 4G version if you're not going to use the 4G?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The price you see is with a 2 year contract, so it would be significantly more if you wanted to buy it outright for Wi-Fi use only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can use this HP PC where there is WiFi available but when there is no WiFi available you will not be able to connect.
