That is a question for the store itself. I had to return for other reasons but they let me within the guidelines (14 days for guests and 45 days for elite plus members) my issue was the micro USB cord broke, since I can feather my cell phone for internet I went with the other HP model that has a normal charging cord not the micro USB. I was at 34 days (I am an elite member so I have 45 days) best buy had no issues returning It.
