QuestionDoes the hard drive make a "crackling" sound? I just bought this laptop and noticed the sound is quite audible. I thought such noise was more subdued on modern laptops.

- Answer Battery life isn't as great as other computers I have owned, but this one gets around 3-5 solid hours depending on brightness of your screen and what you are using it for. Obviously if you have 10 apps running as well as a download and you are streaming netflix with the brightness all of the way up, you aren't going to get much for battery life, but if you are typing a paper, you usually can get a solid amount of work time in.
