The transformer in the charger can handle the 220 volts of the Philippine power grid. There are apparently three types of outlets used there. Two of them (type "A" and "B") are like the outlets in the US and shouldn't need an adapter. If the outlet is the third type (type "C"), you'll need an adapter to go from the plug to the outlet.
