“I asked this question before but the response did not answer the question. What is the point of this computer (which I almost bought) if I cannot play a 4k movie on it locally? This is a waste of technology the more I look into it?”

I don't own it but you just Can't use the disk drive to play 4k, but can stream and download 4k movies. Since it doesn't have that drive. Most people are getting media that way now I guess . Hope this helps.
