Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This laptop only has 4GB of RAM. I personally wouldn't spend more than $1000 for a study laptop, unless you opt for a laptop you can also game on, but for a study laptop, I would go for one with AT LEAST 8GB of RAM. Depending on what you're studying, you'll eventually have to write reports, send emails, do research online, etc., all of which require multiple programs and browser tabs open. While each single program isn't demanding, they do add up. A laptop with only 4GB of RAM can get a tad slow for such purposes. Expect to pay between $400-700 for a study laptop to last you your entire college years. This only applies if you're studying for a non-multimedia degree. If you are, expect to pay $800- upwards of $1000. But like I said, $1000 for a school laptop is overkill. You can use what you save to pay for those ridiculous tuition fees.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say no. I spent a good amount on a laptop for my college years. You definitely want something that has the capability to stream multiple browsers along with typing a paper etc. And this computer does not have the reaction time for that! I spent about 1000 my first laptop and that lasted me 8 years so it got its money's worth!
