Q: I am about to go into my first year of college, would this be a good laptop to use?
A: Yes! This is compact and lightweight perfect for taking to classes.
Q: Is the RAM upgradable to 8 gb?
A: Yes, the RAM is upgradable to 8GB's. You will have to purchase a compatible 8GB stick as this laptop only has room for one memory module. Getting to the memory module is a challenge, you have to remove the keyboard, then the battery and then the motherboard. The memory is installed on the backside of the motherboard.
Q: Does this laptop come with windows ink?
A: I think so, but MAN it runs slow. I can't even use Google Docs insert drawing mode without waiting 30 seconds for my cursor to communicate. Kids websites like Animal Jam never load. Bought brand new.
Q: Is this compatible with touch pens for Windows Ink?
A: It is. I personally use the Bamboo Ink for it. BUT, while it's nice to write with, it does not work for all apps/programs. I would also try out a stylus with a fiber tip (instead of the smooth rubber tip found on many). I use this type of stylus more than the Ink now simply because of its universal use.

A: No, this model does not have an ethernet port.
