I own this model and the answer you were given was incorrect, the motherboard has 2 ports for internal memory. (1 already in use with the 256GB Solid State Drive included with the computer) SSD cards are amazing for immediate initial start up of the computer so I use the SSD that was provided to store all system files "ie" windows and my anti-virus program picked up a 4t Hard drive for all other programs.(Games and Stuff) Hard drives are better for thing that may have to be intalled/re-installed updated which re writes the memory because hard drives memory once deleted returns all of the total memory cleared. SSD cards give back diminishing returns on cleared memory. Once a hard drive is spinning and started up the difference between it and SSD speeds doesn't matter because the motherboard connection speed is the limiting factor for both. in short a 4T hard drive is generally the same price as a 500G SSD but 8 times the space, and as long as your operating system is on the smaller SSD you'll continue to start up like a console.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you would need to remove the existing PCIe drive and replace it with the new drive.
