A:Answer When you add a PCIe video card to the PCIe slot, you may have to go into the BIOS to turn the PCIe slot "on". The PCIe slot specification is that it provide 75 watts of power so if you use a low power video card that runs off the slot, you will not need to upgrade the power supply even though it is only 180 watts. The efficient mobile processor only takes 36 watts. The hard drive, memory and fans still leave over 100 watts available. Suggest GTX 750TI in small form factor (SFF) or GTX 1050 TI or GTX 1650. Make sure they are ITX sized (short, under 7 inches long, generally single fan) or they may not fit. Reduce your resolution when playing games with a lot of motion in them (particularly first person shooter games). Most people set their computer to run their monitor at 1920 X 1080 and then forget to reduce (or don't know to reduce) the resolution to 1280X720 or even less when playing games. The resolution reduction reduces the electronic demands on the video card and it will produce much higher frame rates when it is not overtaxed with billions of calculations involving pixel details of color, shading, vanishing point and 3D. Just because it CAN be set to render at 1920X1080 doesn't mean you should use it at 1920X1080 any more than you should drive a car with the accelerator mashed to the floor. :)
