A:AnswerHello, It depends on page coverage. The standard 65 cartridges for this printer will print a little under 150 pages according to ISO (International Standards Organization). You can learn more here: http://www8.hp.com/h71041/learn-about-supplies/us/en/overview.php
A:AnswerYou would not be able to hard wire to a tablet. But you can still connect the Envy 5055 to a computer using the USB cable. If you want to print from a tablet, I would advise using WiFi Direct. Wireless Direct (WiFi Direct) allows you to directly connect to printer from a mobile device or computer without the need for internet access or a wireless network. You would connect to the printer’s wireless direct signal just like you would connect to a wireless network. The printer would have a unique name in your wireless connections, i.e. Direct-04-Printer. For more information, you can go to: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/wireless-printing-center/wireless-direct.html
A:AnswerYes, you can print in black as long as you have a black cartridge in place, or it will "make" black from the tricolor cartridge. This printer will print in single cartridge mode.
A:AnswerI’ve only had the service for 1 month so far, but YES! It’s free if you print 15 or less a month! You can look at your HP Smart dashboard to monitor your ink levels and page usage. They also send emails reminding you if you get close to the 15. But even if you go over 15, it’s only $1 for 10 more pages (use ‘em or lose ‘em though...) and aside from the $1 fee, there’s no “penalty” for going over. Really cool program, especially if you don’t print all that much. And if you find you’re printing too many consistently each month, you can always upgrade to the $2.99 a month or higher plans, which is still pretty cheap.
A:AnswerYou have to call HP to have the scanning software installed. If it is extra expense; I have not a clue. I do have a hearing impairment and I have been unable to reach someone at HP to assist me. The advertisement does not mention that scanning software is not included. I do recommend HP products except I am disappointed that both Best Buy nor HP do not mention that additional software for scanning is necessary in their advertisement. I would return the printer to Best Buy for credit or either have them download the software for you for no extra charge.
A:AnswerAll printers make some level of noise, but this model does have a Quiet Mode option that helps reduce noise. This does also slow performance, though.
A:AnswerNo, you can't use a generic photo paper on this product and it must be a HP photo paper. No, you can't use a Cannon inkjet paper on this product.
