- Answer Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP Envy 6055e printer uses WiFi technology. If you are looking to use a direct connection to the printer. We would recommend using WiFi Direct. Wireless Direct (WiFi Direct) allows you to directly connect to a printer from a mobile device or computer without the need for internet access or a wireless network. You would connect to the printer’s wireless direct signal just like you would connect to a wireless network. The printer would have a unique name in your wireless connections, i.e. Direct-04-Printer. QuestionI just bought this printer to replace my old 5530e which I dearly loved. I have never been more frustrated in my life. WILL MOT CONNECT TO WIFI using app. Would I have better luck using a USB cable? PLEASE HELP!!!!

- Answer Unfortunately a USB cable does not consistently work. This is the worst printer I have ever had. . If it prints it may do so literally two days later!
