1 - The ram is single channel. There is a single 8GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM on the motherboard. The confusion may be coming from the fact that it is a DIMM or dual in-line memory module slot.
2 - As of the time of writing this response, the power button and fingerprint reader do get disabled in tablet mode and will not wake the computer until it is returned to laptop mode.
