A:Answer Excellent specs that should easily handle anything a college student might need. Like other comments I have seen, the cooling fans are noisy when set at their optimized level, but a built-in utility accessed via the f12 key enables you to personalize the fan levels, and one of the levels is "quiet" which works well. If this machine is going to be regularly used a note-taking tablet with a stylus, I think the machine is too large. I almost exchanged this machine for a 13.3" model for this reason. However, the physically smaller machines have less power, less built-in ports... but often better displays, so you have to consider the trade-offs. When used as a laptop, the machine is really nice. The location of the power key is strange, but not an issue. Keys have a nice (but flat) feel. If you are going to need to use a number pad more often than taking notes in tablet mode, this is the right machine for you.
