Q: QuestionHow old is this laptop? How long will HP support its software and parts?

• A:Answer Please review my comments on this best buy website ... I guess windows 10 is not compatible with this laptop . One browser is ok at a time but multitasking is just a fiction . Even now it you call to HP for it's support there is literally not a good response especially for this laptop

• A:Answer the other person that answered this is wrong- there is no ethernet port on it, but you can purchase an inexpensive USB to RJ45 adapter. Seriously, I don't understand why people who don't know what they're talking about answer things on here when they are clueless. As for the iPhone- yes, it'll work fine- just make sure you unlocked the iphone screen before connecting.

Q: QuestionIf I set my display to go off after 10 minutes it steady goes off after 1 minute. If I put never go to sleep it goes to sleep after 1 minute as well. Any ideas? Thanks

• A:Answer I use it with Photoshop (CC) all the time. I run Sims 4 with no issues (even without it being plugged in). It's a great laptop, light and portable, and, despite what the previous person said, CAN and DOES handle Photoshop and Premiere Pro with no issues.

• A:Answer 1.) Ram for almost all laptops can be upgraded to a higher capacity than what the laptop is sold with originally. So Yes you can get more RAM sort of speak for this and really for just about any PC /Laptop that Best Buy offers. 2.) "More Slots" This is a tad bit confusing but I think I know what you meant and I believe I answered that above. - the number of slots in a laptop due to limited space is usually less than a Desktop PC. Limited to usually 2. Every Laptop is different. 12 to 16 Gigs is more than enough. Literally with 8 GB you are still ahead of the curve.

• A:Answer 1 year Limited Mfg. Warranty. You will need to register your HP with HP via phone or internet as in online - Call the Mfg. the number is on the box. I returned this laptop because I received one that produced a loud fan noise. Obviously not Good. The noise is probably a cooling fan. If your fan is not working properly then your computer is likely getting damaged from not being cooled effectively. which in turn will damage the processor. Don't turn it on anymore. Back to Best Buy - take it to Geek Squad to have them Verify that noise so when you send it in to HP, that there is validity to your issue. the frustration will mainly be the waiting for it to be repaired and covering the shipping but this is why GEEK SQUAD is worth every penny unless you have an apple.
