- Answer Don't know much about the '58 but I can tell you that color pictures printed in the draft mode are acceptable and in the quality mode they look very very good. Did notice a slight difference between quality of HP photo paper and generic photo paper.

- Answer I'm not sure what I did when I got started, but I do know that I've got an account with hpinstantink.com. I believe when I hooked my HP OfficeJet up it gave me the option to sign up for it and I had no problems. Sorry I can't be of more help.

- Answer This printer requires all the cartridges to have ink in them to be able to print. If one runs out, it has to be replaced.
