- Answer You grip the side edges of the top and lift up, the top hinges at the back exposing the insides where you can easily get at the carriage that holds the ink cartridges.

- Answer I haven't printed on to A4 paper, but the paper cassette in the printer has a setting for A4 so I assume it does.

QuestionI saw a review that said this printer wouldn’t print black if a color cartridge was empty. I currently have a 6500 A Plus and that isn’t the case. Looking to upgrade but wouldn’t like that restriction on my new printer. Thanks!

- Answer I have an I phone, but once you connect with the usb you can follow the prompts on your phone or the printer. You can also use a printer app or the HP app. Good luck
