Yes, this printer came with dual paper trays. I have loaded 8.5x11" paper in Tray 1 (upper tray) and 11"x17" paper in Tray 2 (bottom tray) and have printed documents from each tray. This is a great feature. My previous two HP wide-format printers had only one tray, which required me to change out the paper when I needed to print different paper sizes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are 2 trays. You can adjust the lower tray to do 11 x 17 paper.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you can purchase additional trays !! I have the 8740 which is the predecessor to this and I absolutely love it. I have a need to print on different quality paper. To do this I purchased additional trays to hold the different quality paper Photo. brochure, card stock, legal etc. etc. The trays are stored on the shelf below so when I want to switch papers I just switch a tray. I usually have Regular paper in tray one and high quality bright white paper in tray 2 for every day use. Most software allows you to print the first page from a different tray etc.
