- Answer If you don't want to use the backlighting you should be able to plug in just one. But for the full RGB backlit functionality, you need to plug in both.

QuestionIs this item discontinued permanently? No longer available from most vendors aside ones selling used. I am used to the sequencer so finding a replacement is a priority of mine and learning a new keyboard always is a pain for me.

- Answer Check with manufacturer. I would not say it is waterproof. Since things get splashed & spilled around my house + the keyboard has survived I would say its a little water resistant.
