“Is it a slower processor, even tho it says it is Intel Core i5? The ad says it has an Intel Core i5 processor, which I assumed would be at least 3 GHZ speed. Yet it is much slower. So is it fast enough or not?”

Honestly unless you are rendering 4k videos and making 3d models, playing super intensive games, you wouldn't notice the difference between an i5 and i7. If you are buying for school, work, or just personal use and are going to browse webpages and work on office and watch videos then you will be fine. keep in mind that a fast reliable internet speed makes a difference.
