Yes, the laptop HDMI does support 1080p.

Yes it does, but that does not mean you can game at that resolution as this is a low end spec laptop. It will output 1080p video through is HDMI port only as the display is 1600x900. 1080p is 1920x1080. If you want to play games i would recommend a laptop with a dedicated graphics card.

Yes. The monitor in the laptop has a resolution of 1600 x 900 so you won't see 1080p on the laptop. However, the components have the capability of 1080p so when you connect the laptop to a 1080p or above monitor via HDMI, you will see those extra pixels.
