- Answer Turning off S mode is actually pretty simple. But if you have any problems turning it off, the best way to go is to contact the HP Support team, who can walk you through whatever steps you'll need to take.

- Answer This laptop does not have a DVD drive. You may be ablt to download TurboTax software, if you first switch the laptop out of S Mode. On either this model or the Chromebook, you could use the TurboTax website for completing your taxes in the internet browser. I am not sure about the issue with accessing PDF files on the Chromebook, but there are several apps for viewing PDFs on both Chromebooks and Windows laptops.
