The battery is an internal component. You can't just pop it in and out. It only holds one memory DIMM, but the repair manual lists a part number for an 8GB DIMM, so I'm sure it can be upgraded. However, it seems to run just fine with only 4GB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can actually expand the memory to 8GB but requires disassembling it....which isn't all that hard if you are at least somewhat technical. HP even has the manual with how to do so on their web site. The battery is internal and could be replaced if needed (it is accessible the same way the RAM is), but you wouldn't be able to have more than one and swap them out to have extra battery life.
